Format and Criteria for Each League

Recreational Leagues

Recreational leagues are for everyone. There is no minimum skill requirement. The Winners/Nonwinner box system for paddles will be used. It is social play. You are expected to play with everyone. If you need lessons in how to play, Alan will give lessons the first weeks so that you can join the group by the second week.  The goal is to meet people, have fun and get exercise in a supportive environment. Alan reserves the right to decide if the league is appropriate for you keeping in mind it should be fun for all the participants. Alan will provide coaching if requested.

Intermediate Leagues

Intermediate leagues are for players who would like more competitive games than recreational play and enjoy the challenge and excitement of intermediate play. It requires more technical skill and a tactical understanding of the game. Players are able to adapt to a soft or hard game. Alan reserves the right to determine if you are able to participate at the level of the league based on your consistent performance as assessed by your game scores in the first 2 weeks. A refund for the remaining weeks will be provided if it is determined a different league suits you.

The first week will be a round robin with two separate groups. Based on scores, players will be assigned to a group A or group B. Each week a round robin is done within each group. The highest 3 scoring players in group B move to group A and the lowest 3 scoring players in group A move to group B for the following week.

Please feel free to contact Alan if you have any questions about this.
